The LA GARD 702 ComboPlus safe lock is not just a cosmetic change to the old. It has had a total security overhaul, including encrypted communication between the keypad and the lock, thanks to the inclusion of EMD to counter future electronic manipulation threats, and in addition to this, greater enhanced functionality, such as standard tamper evident keypads.
Accessing the System

Standard Entry: Enter your 6-digit code. The display will provide visual feedback, and the lock will confirm valid entry with a double signal.

Operation: After entering a valid code, you have a 4-second window to rotate the handle and open the safe before the system automatically re-locks.

Dual-Mode (If Enabled): This high-security feature requires two separate user codes to be entered in succession to grant access.
Managing Your Security

Changing Codes: Always perform code changes with the safe door open. Follow the on-screen menu prompts: Navigate to the “Change Code” option, enter your old code, and then enter your new 6-digit combination twice.

User Management: The Manager code allows for the addition, deletion, or temporary suspension of up to 30 individual users.

Audit Trail: For accountability, this model records up to 512 events. These can be viewed directly on the display or downloaded using specialized software.
Maintenance & Battery

Power: Use only high-quality 9V Alkaline batteries (Duracell or Energizer recommended).

Low Battery Indicator: If the display dims or the lock emits repeated beeps, replace the battery immediately. Your codes are stored in non-volatile memory and will not be lost during a battery change.
