Simple, Robust Entry-Level Lock
The entry-level unit in the electronic combination safe lock range — a simple, robust system designed for users who value straightforward, no-fuss security.
2-User System + Super-Code
Uses a 6-digit code, supports one Manager and one User plus a Super-Code emergency override.
Extreme-Temperature Rated
Built to operate from -25°C to +60°C, retrofit to the standard international footprint.
Australian Made & Patented
Australian Made and patented, with an 18-month warranty on the electronics.
User Hierarchy
- User 1: Manager (full administrative control)
- User 2: standard access user (the only other user with access to the safe)
- Super-Code: emergency override code — also used to reset the Manager Code if forgotten
- Factory Reset: returns the lock to original factory settings (performed with the safe door open)
⚠️ The lock is distributed with a factory-set User 1 Manager Code. Change this code immediately on first use.
Basic Operation — Opening the Lock
ⓘ Instructions must be completed within 15 seconds, otherwise the system times out and the operation must be restarted.
Code Management (Manager Only)
Always perform code-change and programming operations with the safe door open. The ECL is a flat-keypad model (no LCD menu), so all operations are entered as a fixed key sequence — refer to the official Operating Instructions PDF for the exact sequences. Available functions:
- Reset the Manager Code
- Set / reset the User Code
- Disable / Enable the User Code (temporarily suspend access without deleting it)
- Delete the User
- Reset the Manager Code via Super-Code (emergency use)
- Factory Reset (returns the lock to default state)
Wrong Entry Penalty
- 4 consecutive invalid entries triggers a 4-minute lockout
- During lockout, the keypad will not respond to any entries — a beep sounds at intervals to indicate the lockout is active
- Wait for the lockout to clear, then re-enter a valid code
Power & Battery
- Battery: 1 × 9V Alkaline (Duracell or Energizer recommended)
- Battery life: approximately 1 year under normal use
- Power supply range: DC 4.5V – 12.0V · Low battery threshold: 5.2V
- Low-battery warning: repeated beeps during opening — replace promptly
- Non-volatile memory: codes are retained during battery replacement
ⓘ Emergency power (if battery is completely flat): place a fresh 9V battery against the external contact points on the keypad to temporarily power the unit for entry.
Key-Override / Mechanical Override
The ECL is supplied with a Swivel-Bolt as standard. Three lock body options are available:
